As part of efforts towards ensuring access to quality diagnostic care in Nigeria, Cassona Global Imaging Limited has installed high-tech diagnostic equipment at St Mary's Catholic Hospital in Gwagwalada, Abuja.
The installed Neuviz Ace SP – 32 slice CT Scan Machine will help improve diagnosis and patient care at Gwagwalada and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at large.
The machine is operated 6hrs and managed at the hospital by BCA Healthcare Ltd.
Speaking on behalf of the hospital, Sulaiman Dangana, Head of Operations, BCA Healthcare Ltd said, "We are excited to have the equipment in our centre at the St Mary's Catholic Hospital. It adds to our overall growth plan and our quest to bridge the gaps in access to high quality healthcare in Nigeria."
He said Gwagwalada community is about 40 kilometres away from Abuja City Metropolis where most of the advanced healthcare facilities in Abuja are domiciled.
He said, "The installation of the equipment in Gwagwalada will help greatly to reduce the distance that people from the locality travel to access CT-Scan services in town. Besides, the other neighbouring communities like Kwali, Abaji, and Zuba along the same corridor with Gwagwalada on the Abuja – Lokoja highway would also benefit from the services to be rendered with the installation at Gwagwalada."
He further said the team of experts from Cassona showed professionalism in their handling of the equipment purchase, delivery and installation.
"Their team of experts ensured we were properly guided throughout the process of this acquisition and eventual implementation. We are confident that with the after-sales support services that Cassona provides our equipment would be properly maintained and be functional for a long time," he added.
Cassona Facility Manager – Richard Entsie said the organization is a lead distributor of advanced diagnostic imaging technology in Ghana and across Africa. Also, they are official partners of Neusoft, an industry-leading information technology, products and solutions company for the global market. He also mentioned that Cassona plans its official launch in Nigeria in May 2025.
He said, "Nigerians should expect adequate supply of advanced diagnostic imaging equipment. We understand that one of the biggest challenges most health facilities face is access to capital to invest in quality modern machines to cater for the sick. So, Cassona prioritises affordability for clients.
"Cassona will also be working hand-in-hand with the Nigerian government, both federal and state, to provide advanced and affordable equipment to primary healthcare facilities across the nation. We believe that is going to positively impact the healthcare system in Nigeria and bring relief to the masses."
He added that the organization has been actively involved in diagnostic imaging equipment distribution, installation, imaging centre operation and imaging equipment maintenance, among others.
