A diagnostic imaging equipment services provider in Sub-Saharan Africa, Cassona Global Imaging has pledged to support the Private Health Facilities Association of Ghana to improve its facilities across the nation.
It has also promised to build a one-stop shop hospital in Ghana to compliment government's resolve to addressing the health care needs of people.
Chief Executive Officer, John Chigbu, disclosed this at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of the Private Health Facilities Association of Ghana. The AGM held in Koforidua in the Eastern region brought together government officials, traditional rulers, health professionals, amongst others.
The theme was "Adopting A Data Driven Decision-Making Culture As A Tool To Create A Responsive Healthcare System in Ghana: The Role of Private Health Facilities".
Mr Chigbu also promised his outfit support to address the challenges facing diagnostic imaging within the health industry.

"The Cassona Ghana journey started in 2022, with I and my wife coming to Ghana to stay for a while. When we left, we were debating if we should be anywhere here and the reason being, I have lived overseas for long and I don’t quite understand the business culture here. But we are here to contribute our widow’s mite to the growth of diagnostic imaging.”
He continued that there was the need to empower the Private Health Association, made up of an association of entrepreneurs, professionals and people in medical finance to be economically and socially viable.
An Imaging equipment is a tool such as ultra scan that a doctor uses to determine an ailment.
He further stated that Cassona is mandate to make the equipment affordable for Ghana and Sub-Saharan Africa.
“To achieve that, we decided we are going to buy the best equipment that is not as highly priced as some that come from developed countries. We also had to think about maintaining the equipment because you may install a machine today and the next day, the machine would not be functioning. So, to resolve that challenge, we worked on having local engineers to maintain our equipment right here at home”.
He added that his outfit decided to grant credit facilities to enable clients finance the acquisition of equipment.
Another area, Cassona, intends venturing into is the operation of diagnostic centers.
“With that, we can do what we call discharging our corporate social responsibility like giving women free mammogram and ultrasound check at least twice every two weeks. For I and my wife, corporate social responsibility is very important to us”, he added.
“The goal of Cassona is to continue to invest in Ghana. That is why we are here today. This is because the people we are supporting are the people that keeps us all healthy and able to go to work”.

Cassona Global Imaging has been named Best Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Supplier of the Year at the 5th Ghana Medical and Diagnostic Excellence Awards 2026.
