The 2024 Beijing Health Conference and the 30th China International Medical Instrumentation Exhibition and Technical Exchange Conference (China-Hospeq 2024) officially commenced at the Beijing National Convention Center on August 9th.

The event, hosted by the Center for International Exchange and Cooperation of the National Health Commission, brought together key players from the global health industry to discuss and showcase innovations aimed at promoting equitable access to healthcare.

Under the theme of innovation-led development, China-Hospeq 2024 featured a range of special exhibition areas focusing on medical innovation, the development of China-Africa hospitals, high-quality public hospitals, healthy lifestyles, green hospitals, medical imaging, testing medicine, medical robots, ophthalmology, and medical consumables. These areas highlighted the latest advancements in medical technology and emphasized the importance of sustainable and high-quality healthcare.

A notable highlight of the exhibition was the visit of Cassona Global Imaging Limited a prominent figure in the global health sector, to the Neusoft booth. Neusoft, a leading IT solutions and services provider, showcased their cutting-edge technologies aimed at addressing some of the most pressing challenges in global healthcare, including aging populations, inadequate medical resources, and imbalances in medical technology and services. The visit underscored the importance of collaboration between leading health organizations and technology providers in driving innovation and improving healthcare outcomes worldwide.

Throughout the event, attendees participated in a series of academic activities, including a seminar on hospital development in China and Africa, the China-Germany Symposium on the Innovation and Development of Medical Care, and the International Exchange Conference on the Development of Green Hospitals. These sessions provided a platform for exchanging views on China's innovative approaches to healthcare, sharing experiences, and exploring how China's development path can contribute to the construction of a global health community and support common development and prosperity.

China-Hospeq 2024's focus on global collaboration, particularly with the Global South, reflects a commitment to addressing global health challenges through innovative solutions and shared knowledge. As the conference progresses, it is expected to yield valuable insights and partnerships that will contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and improving health equity worldwide.
